Many reasons led to the Holocaust. The main reason was Hitler believed that anybody that was Jewish or different did not deserve to live. Hitler wanted to create a perfect race. The race would be made of Germans with blue eyes and blonde hair. Another reason that led to the Holocaust was people thought Jewish people caused economic problems for Germany. Therefore Hitler wanted to get rid of the Jewish people.

A story about the Holocaust that touched me was the Devil's Arithmetic. This movie touched me because the movie was about this young girl who never really cared about her culture or religon until she went back in time to the Holocaust and saw what happen. She realized how important her culture really was.

We need to remember the Holocaust for many reasons. One reason is to learn what happen in past. Another reason to learn what mistakes we made in the past and not to repeat them in the future. Learning about the past can help us in many ways in the future.
